My name is Lucy Bendle and for over 30 years I have been a practising physiotherapist.

Throughout my career I have amassed a wealth of experience and have worked in the UK and South Africa.

During my time in South Africa I  worked with a national sporting team and served on the executive committee of the South African Society of Physiotherapy.  I also represented them at the Africa conference and the World Confederation for Physical Therapy conferences.

I am passionate about the difference physiotherapy can make to a patient’s life.

I am a keen long distance runner.  I have ran marathons and ultra-marathons and treated many runners. I continue to subscribe to and enjoy ongoing professional development.

I have worked for the NHS and in private practice throughout my years as a physiotherapist.

I am passionate about helping people in pain get better and achieve their goals in life.

Over 30 Years Experience

After qualifying in the South African University of Cape Town in 1984 I completed my junior rotations which included working with the Heart Transplant Team.  I then spent two years travelling and working in the UK and Europe.

In 2000 I moved to the UK with my husband and children. Since then I have worked all over the north -east in the NHS, occupational physiotherapy and private practice.

Joint Mobilisation

Painful joints?  Knee, hip or ankle pain? Pain in your joints can seriously impact your mobility.  Manual therapy intervention employed as a technique in the mobilisation of joints is a very useful therapy.

Acupuncture can provide fantastic results for patients suffering with chronic pain.  I am a qualified & registered with  Acupuncture Association of  Chartered Physiotherapy (AACP).
