My name is Lucy Bendle and for over 30 years I have been a practising physiotherapist.
Throughout my career I have amassed a wealth of experience and have worked in the UK and South Africa.
During my time in South Africa I worked with a national sporting team and served on the executive committee of the South African Society of Physiotherapy. I also represented them at the Africa conference and the World Confederation for Physical Therapy conferences.
I am passionate about the difference physiotherapy can make to a patient’s life.
I am a keen long distance runner. I have ran marathons and ultra-marathons and treated many runners. I continue to subscribe to and enjoy ongoing professional development.
I have worked for the NHS and in private practice throughout my years as a physiotherapist.
I am passionate about helping people in pain get better and achieve their goals in life.

Over 30 Years Experience
After qualifying in the South African University of Cape Town in 1984 I completed my junior rotations which included working with the Heart Transplant Team. I then spent two years travelling and working in the UK and Europe.
In 2000 I moved to the UK with my husband and children. Since then I have worked all over the north -east in the NHS, occupational physiotherapy and private practice.
